But all these small relatively unknown services like Trello, Catch, Astrid, Springpad, Any.DO. I wouldn't worry about Evernote, they seem to be profitable and I don't think they're going anywhere anytime soon. This is a problem, if you plan on putting lots of data into a service. But if that doesn't happen, will they one day just shut down Springpad, just like they did with Catch? I'm guessing they've developed the service without plans to make money off of it directly, instead hoping it'll be bought once it becomes mature enough. There is no premium option, no way that I know of to pay for the service. But what worries me is that I don't understand how they make money. I use Springpad extensively, and it's pretty good. I think it's silly to worry about each online service you use, especially if there's a reputable company behind that's been in business for a while.ġ) I don't know if the company behind Trello is reputable or not, and I don't know how long they've been in business.Ģ) Even if the company is reputable and have been in business a long time, how do I know it won't be bought by someone, and cancelled?
